Scholarship: Providing free education opportunities by paying scholarships based on the rules and regulations of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Priority for awarding scholarships
A- Cultural agreements between the Government of the Islamic Republic and other governments for the exchange of students
B- Applicants from Islamic countries
How to obtain the application
A- Non-Iranian Students Office of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (via e-mail or regular correspondence)
B- Admission through universities and higher education centers
Note: The final admission of non-scholarship students who are directly accepted by the universities is subject to the approval of their general eligibility in the Scholarship Council of non-Iranian students.
C- Through the representations of the Islamic Republic in other countries
Those admitted to the undergraduate, general doctorate of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and veterinary medicine according to the field of study, like Iranian students, are required to take compensatory courses or prerequisites of the relevant field in the pre-university education center of Imam Khomeini International University or a university that They will be introduced by the Ministry for study.
Those admitted will preferably be introduced to one of the universities of Tehran, Isfahan, Shiraz, Mashhad, Qazvin, Sari, Tabriz, Hamedan, Rasht, Zahedan, Zabol, Ahvaz, Kermanshah, Kerman, Sanandaj.
Applicants for undergraduate studies are placed by the Ministry based on their Persian and pre-university language scores, the capacity of universities and academic records, and the priorities selected by the applicant.
The maximum period for starting the education of the admitted students is six months from the date of approval and if they do not start within the mentioned period, their scholarship will be canceled.
Supervisor of non-Iranian students
In order to take care of the welfare, educational and cultural affairs of non-Iranian students in each university with more than fifty students, one of the official faculty members of the university (with the minimum rank of assistant professor) as the supervisor of non-Iranian students under the direct supervision of the university president he does.
Note: In universities with less than fifty students, the welfare, educational and cultural affairs of students are the responsibility of the Vice Chancellor for Students and Culture.
Duties of the supervisor
Addressing issues and problems and reviewing the situation of students and sending a report through the university to the Ministry.
Cooperation in the implementation of programs announced by the Ministry
Managers of Persian language centers and pre-university are responsible for supervising non-Iranian students during the implementation of training courses.
Scholarship student facilities
Single students have free accommodation and health insurance.
Single scholarship students are paid a monthly stipend.
All married students are paid a monthly amount of one million and five hundred thousand rials as a grant.
Married students will be given a dormitory if they have the facilities, and a monthly mortgage will be paid through the Student Welfare Fund if it is not possible.
Those who are accepted to study in the Islamic Republic of Iran will be paid the first grant as soon as they arrive.
The maximum duration of using the scholarship in each of the sections is as described in the table below, without taking into account the Persian language course.

Note 1: In special cases, a maximum of one semester will be added to the scholarship period.
Note 2: Payment of scholarships and facilities to scholarship students (depending on the type of medical, non-medical) is the responsibility of the relevant ministry.
Note 3: It is provided to non-scholarship students by receiving fees, facilities and welfare services.
